After Giving Fans What They Wanted in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Channing Tatum Is Now Teasing His New Return as Gambit

Deadpool & Wolverine was a cameo fest and a birthday present for all hardcore Marvel fans. Chris Evans as Johnny Storm, plethora of X-Men villains, Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Wesley Snipes as Blade, and a character no one thought would ever see the light of a day – Channing Tatum as Gambit.

When Channing Tatum’s Gambit walked before Deadpool and Wolverine, my cinema went crazy. And when he started talking… 🙂 As it is with Wesley Snipes’ Blade, fans want more of Gambit. And it seems that Channing Tatum is all in!

Namely, Screen Rant recently spoke with Tatum about his appearance as Gambit in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ and asked him if there’s any chance we’ll see him again. Here’s what Tatum said:

I’m not going to bore everybody with what we were trying to do with our [Gambit] film, but it was an origin story that we were doing. We were trying to make something that actually would be in the world and could play with Deadpool. You put Deadpool in a lot of scenes with other MCU characters, and he could possibly just make fun of them the entire time. But he wouldn’t, because Ryan loves comics and he loves Marvel.

Will we see a solo Gambit movie? Maybe, after ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ and when X-Men fully enter the MCU. Also, I guess there’s a good chance he will make one more cameo in ‘Avengers: Secret Wars.’
