‘X-Men ’97’ Will Feature Two Other X Teams in Season 2
When ‘X-Men ’97’ was announced, fans of ‘X-Men: The Animated Series’ were skeptical if the remake could live up to the original. With an 8.8 IMDb score and 99%/94% (critics/audience) Rotten Tomatoes score, ‘X-Men ’97’ was a worthy sequel.
It did not take long for the show to be renewed for second and third seasons. While we don’t have many details about the upcoming season, we recently learned that Season 2 of X-Men ’97 will feature two other X teams!
Namely, ComicBook’s Jamie Jirak moderated a Q&A with Winderbaum, supervising producer Jake Casterona, and director Emi/Emmett Yonemura. When asked what the team could tease about ‘X-Men ’97’ Season 2, Winderbaum told the audience that two other X-teams would be featured in the new season:
There’s many teams, in Marvel, that have the letter “X” that are followed by a hyphen. I would put it to you like this… there’s two other X teams in Season 2.
